Introducing BC’s First Fully Electric Passenger Ferry
Hear from CIRQL Ferries’ leadership team about their journey to date as they seek to launch by 2027.
CIRQL Ferries Incorporated (previously Greenline Ferries) is a BC-based company focused on transforming coastal transportation with fast, all-electric, passenger-only ferries linking Gibsons and Bowen Island to Metro Vancouver’s transit and mobility networks. Since 2022, the company has been laying the groundwork for this service by engaging communities and leveraging incentives for zero-emission transport. Its team brings expertise in ferry operations, shipbuilding, finance, stakeholder relations, and Indigenous engagement. The service will launch with two high-speed ferries and three charge barges, supported by extensive market research through surveys, open houses, and mobility data.
