Important Upcoming Events & Opportunities
Fall is shaping up to be a busy season for maritime decarbonization in BC. From September’s in-person State & Future of Maritime Fuels in BC event and the launch of GreenShip 2026 registration, to two upcoming events hosted by our partners, here are key events happening across the sector in the months ahead.
State & Future of Maritime Fuels in BC
September 16, 2026 | UBC, Vancouver
Join UBC, VMCC, and the Clean Energy Research Centre (CERC) for a full-day event bringing together maritime leaders to discuss the decarbonization of marine transportation and the development of a Clean Maritime Fuels Hub in British Columbia.
The day starts with a session on the experiences and lessons learned in BC by early adopters and sectoral leaders, followed by tours of student team projects and research labs at the Clean Energy Research Centre. The afternoon will include a facilitated workshop on Advancing Clean Marine Fuel Pathways, followed by networking opportunities.
Space is limited, and registration is required.
GreenShip 2026 Early Bird Registration Ends September 15

Join the Vancouver Maritime Centre for Climate for its 5th annual GreenShip, bringing together experts to explore clean fuels, electrification, technology adoption, infrastructure investment, climate finance, and more. GreenShip brings together leaders from across the maritime sector — including ship owners and operators, ports and terminals, technology providers, energy providers, regulators, government, academia, finance, and more — to share practical insights, build connections, and move maritime climate solutions forward.

2026 Value of Biogas West Conference
October 6–8, 2026 | Westin Bayshore, Vancouver, BC
Hosted by the Canadian Biogas Association, the conference will bring together more than 350 industry leaders to explore biogas, renewable natural gas, biomethane, and Bio-LNG—including opportunities for biomethane and Bio-LNG in marine applications.
