The Sailbot team specializes in building small and medium-sized autonomous sailboats, handling everything from design and construction, to system integration and testing. UBC SailBot has a rich history and tradition since its founding in 2002.

As passionate engineering students from all backgrounds, they strive to challenge engineering boundaries by designing reliable autonomous sailboats. Sailbot provides unique opportunities for students to develop their technical experience in an interdisciplinary environment, along with teamwork and leadership skills, all while contributing to innovations in the field of marine engineering.
